OUR PROGRAMS

The Sustainable NCW Earth Day Fair is our largest event, held each year in April at Pybus Public Market. We offer classes and workshops throughout the year on topics such as working toward zero waste, composting with worms and the climate crisis. For these programs, we often partner with others such as Pybus University, Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center, Wenatchee River Institute, Waste Loop, and NCW Libraries.

Community-wide efforts include our Idle Free Zones campaign and our Waste Wizard recycling search tool.

Our work also includes climate mitigation and adaptation through our role as Lead Partner in the Our Valley Our Future action plan's game changer, A Post Carbon Economy, and through our participation with Chelan County Natural Resource's Climate Resiliency Roundtable executive committee

Staff and board are available for presentations to interested community groups on a variety of topics. These have included talks on recycling to local Rotary groups, a visit to the environmental clubs at local schools, and leadership cohorts with local government. If you'd like us to visit your group, please send us a message on the Contact Us page.

We have the incredible opportunity to live in the homelands of the P'Squosa / Wenatchi people. The importance of acknowledging the true history of this land cannot be overstated. Thank you to our valley's first stewards. To learn more, visit the Indigenous Roots & Reparation Foundation.
